Brad Tabke announces bid for Minnesota House of Representatives

Shakopee, MN – Former DFL State Representative Brad Tabke today announced his campaign to represent Shakopee in the Minnesota House of Representatives.

“It has been my absolute honor serving Shakopee as Mayor and in the Minnesota House,” said Brad Tabke. “Shakopee deserves a representative that will engage with local voters, businesses, and leaders to get work done for our community. During my term in the Minnesota House, we focused on finding solutions for major issues like health care, transportation, and education.”

As a State Representative, Tabke pledges to continue his work for Shakopee families, businesses, and seniors delivering a world-class education, investing in our inadequate transportation system, and ensuring that all Minnesotans have access to the health care they need.

In the months since being elected, Republican Rep. Erik Mortensen has piled up numerous negative headlines for violating the state executive orders, proposing to eliminate child care assistance for low-income Minnesotans, voting against condemning the deadly insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, and baselessly attempting to impeach Governor Walz

“I am running to represent Shakopee’s values in the Minnesota House, not score petty political points. Now more than ever we need a representative that will bring us together, not stoke the flames of division for personal gain,” continued Tabke.

Brad Tabke was elected to the Minnesota Legislature in 2018 and served as the Mayor of Shakopee from 2012 to 2016. Brad and his wife Katy have two daughters and live in Shakopee, Minnesota.
